Workplace Description

The Office at the Department of Clinical Sciences, Lund, is responsible for providing professional support in expert areas such as finance, HR issues, administration, and communication. Currently, 14 employees work at the office, located at the Biomedical Centre (BMC) in Lund. Approximately 470 staff members work at the department, including teachers, researchers, doctoral students, and technical-administrative personnel.

We are now looking for a positive, driven, and self-motivated HR Administrator for a part-time position at 75%, with a desired start date of 2026-09-01 or as agreed, for a period of six months.

Tasks and Responsibilities

You will work in an administrative role involving support and advice on personnel administrative matters for our operations. You will also work as a case handler in the university's recruitment system and payroll system.

Your tasks include, among other things:

  • Processing recruitment and employment cases.
  • Handling vacations, leave, payroll arrears, certificates, and processing tax deductions for doctoral students.
  • Monitoring and handling fixed-term employment.
  • Follow-up on side jobs and personnel plans.

Other tasks may also be included.

Qualifications

The following qualifications are required for the position:

  • A university degree in HR or other education assessed by the employer as equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of labor law and recruitment.
  • Good knowledge and experience of administrative systems and programs.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.

We are looking for someone who has good cooperation skills while working independently and structurally. You are solution-oriented and have a service-oriented approach.

Merits:

  • Experience and knowledge of Lund University's organization, administrative systems, and regulations.
  • Experience from working in public administration.
  • Experience in administrative HR work.

Other Information

The employment is a specific fixed-term part-time position at 75%. Desired start date 2026-09-01 or as agreed, for six months onwards.

Selection is ongoing. Interviews are planned to be held during the summer, weeks 26–29.

This is to promote clinical and experimental translational research, development, and education.
