Snäckebacksskolan is one of the municipality's two schools for grades 4-9. The school started operations during the autumn term in newly built, beautiful premises and is centrally located in Ronneby, right next to the green area Snäckebacken. It is within walking distance to the city center, swimming pool, sports hall, and the beautiful Brunnsparken. It is also within walking distance to the railway station for those commuting from other locations.

The school will have approximately 450 students distributed across grades 4-9. In the lower secondary school, full-time mentors are attached to all classes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The position involves working as a student support worker for a student in grade 7. You will be an individual support during the school day and contribute to creating structure, security, and good conditions for the student's learning and social development.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• To support the student in teaching situations based on individual needs and conditions
• To contribute to the student's development in social interaction with other students
• To motivate and stimulate the student to learning and development
• To adapt working methods and support measures in consultation with responsible educators
• To participate in the daily work regarding the student together with the work team and student health services
• To collaborate with the school's staff and have good dialogue with guardians

The work requires a flexible and solution-focused approach where the student's best interest is always in focus. We are looking for you who enjoy your profession and have a great desire to develop and learn more. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have experience working with students in adapted primary school and who have a good understanding of different needs in learning and social situations. You have good computer skills and experience using IT when supporting students in teaching.

You must be able to communicate and build good relationships with students, colleagues, guardians, and other professionals you meet in your profession.

It is meritorious if you have previous experience working as a student assistant/student support worker.

Knowledge of low-affective handling is desirable.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months.
