We are looking for a Child Pedagogue / Social Pedagogue for our community room and child activities.

Here, you work closely with people during some of life's most difficult moments, as well as moments filled with development, hope, and joy of life. We are now looking for a secure and engaged child pedagogue/social pedagogue to join our team in Karlskrona.

About the operations

We provide residential care within social services, focusing on safety, security, and care for women, children, and families in vulnerable life situations. Many of the families we meet need to leave their hometowns and start a new chapter in life.

In our work, we encounter trauma, grief, anger, fear, and despair, but also laughter, progress, pride, and hope for the future. Working with us therefore requires both professionalism, warmth, and personal maturity.

About the position

We are in an exciting phase of development where the children's needs and right to a safe and meaningful everyday life are in focus.

As a child pedagogue/social pedagogue, you work in our community room where you, together with a colleague, are responsible for creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment for the families placed with us.

The community room is an important meeting place where children have the opportunity for play, creativity, community, and rest. At the same time, relief and support are created for the parents.

You will become an important source of security during the family's stay and work both relationally and practically in everyday life.

We prefer that you have education as a teacher, leisure-time pedagogue, social pedagogue, or other relevant education in psychiatry, behavioral science, or social work. We place great emphasis on personal suitability and are looking for someone who feels secure in meeting both adults and children.

You are well into your professional career and have developed confidence in your professional role, with the ability to use your knowledge and experience in a professional and independent manner. You are calm, stable, and have a good ability to build trusting relationships even in challenging situations.
