Special Educator/Special Teacher for Rödebyskolan in Karlskrona

Rödebyskolan is a 7th-9th grade school located centrally in the village, close to nature, bathing areas, and sports halls. We offer the opportunities of a large school combined with the security and care of a small school. We achieve this by dividing the school into two units with two principal responsibilities under the same roof. Approximately 40 staff members work at the Rödebyskolan 7-9 unit.

Job Responsibilities

As a special educator/special teacher, you are responsible for developing and ensuring an accessible and inclusive learning environment. You work both at a general level and with targeted interventions at the group and individual levels. The role includes:

• Contributing to strengthening the school's preventive and promoting student health work.
• Developing support measures and adaptations for classes and students.
• Being responsible for pedagogical investigations, absence investigations, and action plans, among other things.
• Communicating with guardians.
• Being flexible and able to contribute in our special education groups.
• Working with students in need of support individually, in small groups, or providing support in regular classrooms.
• Mentoring teachers through coaching conversations and classroom observations.
• Being part of the development of the school's systematic quality work.

Qualifications

You must be a certified teacher for grades 7–9 with further education as a special educator or special teacher.

We are looking for someone who is good at creating and strengthening collaborations internally and externally, as well as building new relationships and maintaining existing ones.

You are a problem solver who has the ability to analyze situations, identify solutions, and develop effective, feasible strategies to overcome challenges.
