We are a special needs school that will start a new preschool class at Rosendal F-3 in the autumn of 2026 and need a new employee for this role. We are looking for a preschool teacher or F-3 teacher with a placement in the preschool class. Experience in special needs education is meritorious, and if you have an education as a special needs teacher with a focus on intellectual disability, you are exactly who we are looking for.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher here, you work in the preschool class and the after-school center. You help create a permissive and supportive working climate, where you are an important part of a collective team. You work together with colleagues in the work group and have access to, for example, special pedagogical competence and student health services resources, which creates security and quality in the teaching.

You plan and carry out teaching based on each student's ability, create good conditions for learning, and stimulate and challenge the students' development and learning. As one of the teachers in the special needs school, you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for providing the students with the pedagogical and social support they need. Your work includes close collaboration with guardians, the school's student health team, and other external professionals, such as habilitation services and LSS (Support and Service Act). In addition, you collaborate with other operations at the school, such as the primary school and other operations within the special needs school.

Requirements for the position:

• Licensed preschool teacher or licensed teacher with a focus on F-3
• Proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious qualifications for the position:

• Special needs teacher with a focus on intellectual disability
• Experience working in a special needs school
• Experience working with children/students with autism
• Further education in:
  • Neuropsychiatric and intellectual disabilities
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
  • Picture support and structure

Personal qualities:

As a person, we see that you have good collaboration skills with the aim of achieving our goals. We think that you are also good at building good relationships, primarily with the students, but also with guardians and colleagues. We believe that a good relationship between teacher and student is an important foundation for learning to take place. We also see that you promote a respectful working climate and communicate in a professional manner with both students and colleagues and guardians. You do this by being open and accommodating, as well as by listening to your surroundings to understand their needs. At our school, there is continuous development of the operations, so we would like you to contribute new ideas and perspectives to work-related issues and challenge methods, ways of working, and mindsets.

About the workplace

Navetskolan is a special needs school for students with intellectual disabilities. The school is located in central Asarum and offers teaching for grades 1–9, which today consists of approximately 60 students. Navetskolan consists of four departments, located at Stenbackanavet, in the Lindemo area, and in a building in close proximity to Klockebacksskolan. The school has approximately 50 employees, teachers, and student assistants, who work together in teams.

• Employment type: Permanent (holiday position). Permanent employment is only possible if you have a license.
