The Adult Unit of the Social Services Department is looking for a Social Secretary who, together with colleagues, group managers, and the unit manager, wants to drive and further develop work within the areas of harmful substance use and addiction, domestic violence, and crime.

At the Adult Unit, over 30 dedicated employees work together with three group managers and the unit manager. We offer support to adults in the areas of social assistance, integration, harmful substance use and addiction, domestic violence, crime, social psychiatry, and housing. We are a social, cheerful, and energetic work group where many have chosen to stay for a long time.

Job Description

As a Social Secretary, you are responsible for investigating, assessing, and making decisions regarding interventions for adults with harmful substance use and addiction, those exposed to domestic violence, or those wishing to leave a criminal group. You follow up on approved interventions and ensure that support is tailored to the individual's needs, current legislation, and the municipality's guidelines. The role involves close collaboration with the municipality's outpatient care, which offers structured treatment interventions both individually and in groups. You also interact with other internal and external actors to create a cohesive support system for the individual. The assignment includes documenting according to current guidelines, contributing to development work within the unit, and actively participating in good collaboration within the unit.

We are looking for you who:

• have a degree in Social Work (Social Work degree)
• have solid knowledge and extensive experience in authority matters within the addiction field
• have experience working with domestic violence
• express yourself well in both speech and writing

As a person, you are engaged, empathetic, mature, and flexible. You work in a structured manner, find it easy to collaborate and relate to others.
