Workplace Description

We are a school beautifully located near the water in Hammarby Sjöstad, a modern district considered a natural extension of Stockholm's city center. The school is situated in Luma Park in Sjöstad, with proximity to forests and outdoor areas. We currently have around 800 students in grades F-9 in the comprehensive school, as well as grades 1-9 in the adapted comprehensive school. Sjöstadsskolan aims to be the best school for every student. Here, high-quality teaching is provided in a secure learning environment with accessible learning spaces and values-based work as a focus. In this way, we ensure that the teaching maintains high quality. Job Description

As a teacher in wood and metal crafts at Sjöstadsskolan, you are responsible for planning, teaching, evaluating, and assessing in crafts. You are part of a work team and a subject team where you collaborate with colleagues and are an important part of collegial learning to create new and in-depth knowledge. Mentoring a group of students is included in the assignment. Teaching takes place at all stages as well as in the adapted comprehensive school.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with eligibility in crafts, preferably with a focus on wood and metal crafts. We would like you to have experience teaching in comprehensive school and adapted comprehensive school.

You have the ability to design teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into students' results and needs, and structure and adapt your teaching so that a secure and adequate learning environment is created. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others.

You are secure, stable, have self-insight, and are a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for collaboration and build good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other tasks included in your role in an effective manner.
