We are looking for an engaged and driven teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (NO) with qualifications to teach grades 4–9 for our joint municipal resource school.

As a teacher at the resource school, you work in a small team where teaching is characterized by high staff density, close relationships, and an individualized approach. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in Mathematics and Natural Sciences based on curriculum goals and the students' individual needs and prerequisites.

The target group consists of students who require special support to succeed in their schooling. The role involves creating a safe, structured, and accessible learning environment where students are given the opportunity to develop both academically and socially. You work closely with resource pedagogues, student health services, guardians, and other colleagues to create the best possible conditions for each student.

In addition to teaching, the role includes common duties such as documentation, mentoring, development talks, and collaboration with the student health team and guardians.

We are looking for you who:

  • Are a certified teacher with qualifications to teach Mathematics and Natural Sciences for grades 4–9.
  • Have experience working with students in need of special support, preferably within the field of Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDD/NPF).
  • Are structured, clear, and confident in your leadership.
  • Have a good ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
  • Can adapt teaching and the learning environment based on students' different needs and prerequisites.
  • Enjoy working both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues and student health services.
  • Have a solution-focused approach and a strong commitment to ensuring every student succeeds.

Meritorious:

  • Experience from resource schools, special education groups, or similar operations.
  • Experience working with students with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD/NPF).
  • Knowledge of low-affective interaction and accessible learning environments.
