Your Assignment

As a teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences, you teach students in grades 7–9. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in your subjects based on the national curriculum. You adapt the teaching to the students' needs, interests, and prerequisites. You follow up, assess, grade, and document students' knowledge development. The role includes shared advisory responsibility for a class in the secondary school. To create good conditions for the students, you work closely with other teachers, school management, and the student health team.

The role involves close collaboration in both work teams and subject teams, where you together have great freedom to shape and develop the teaching. You collaborate regarding students, planning, assessment, grading, pedagogical development work, and systematic quality work.

We value the use of physical teaching materials as an important complement in teaching and expect you to work actively with this in your subjects as well.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• Teacher certification with subject competence for grades 7–9 in Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
• Good digital competence.
• Very good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

The following are meritorious:

• Experience working as a teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
• Experience teaching students in the secondary school.
• Subject competence for grades 7–9 in Technology.
• Experience working with physical teaching materials in teaching.
