Description

Bromstensskolan is a school for grades F-6 (preschool class to grade 6) located in Västerort within the City of Stockholm. The school is a municipal primary school with approximately 500 students. It is beautifully situated on a hill in a pleasant villa area. The older parts of the school date back to the early 1900s, while the newer sections were built in the 1990s. The school has a large and pleasant schoolyard, including a football pitch with plenty of running space. Approximately 75 people work at the school, most of whom are educators. In addition, we have most of the professional categories typically found in a primary school. The school leadership currently consists of the principal, two deputy principals, and an administrative manager.

Our four lead teachers are responsible for developing teaching at the school together with the school leadership and educators. We welcome new staff with diverse experiences who, together with our already skilled educators, wish to develop Bromstensskolan.

Almost half of the students have a cultural background other than Swedish, so we have many enriching connections to the rest of the world. We see our diversity as a strength and strive to take advantage of what we can learn from different cultures. Our ambitions are high, and we have a strong positive development at the school. Our intention is to create a school where we help students develop their full potential. Your Work

You will teach physical education in grades 3-6 and be part of a work team where our educators work together regarding our students. You will collaborate on teaching with the physical education teacher for grades 1-2. You will plan, implement, and follow up on activities according to the curriculum's goals, helping students grow while simultaneously contributing to the further development of our school.

Your Competence and Experience

We are looking for someone who:

• Is qualified and licensed as a physical education teacher for grades 3-6
• Has current work experience
• Has experience with formative assessment

You should find it easy to collaborate and see it as a matter of course, while also being driven and self-reliant. This means you take responsibility and plan and implement your teaching. You have clear leadership and involve students in both your teaching and planning.

You are accustomed to working independently in your assignments, and you listen, make decisions, and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner. You have an empathetic and democratic approach towards both students and colleagues. Your pedagogical insight is good, and you have a good understanding that people absorb knowledge in different ways. Through good relationships combined with varied teaching and working methods, you stimulate students' development and learning so that our students become motivated and challenged to achieve the best possible results.
