Description

Bromstensskolan is a school for grades F-6 located in Västerort within the Municipality of Stockholm. It is a municipal primary school with approximately 500 students. The school is beautifully situated on a hill in a pleasant villa area. The older parts of the building date back to the early 1900s, while the newer sections were built in the 1990s. The school has a large and pleasant playground, including a football field with plenty of running space.

Approximately 75 people work at the school, most of whom are educators. In addition, we have most of the professional categories typically found in a primary school. The school leadership currently consists of the principal, two deputy principals, and an administrative manager. Our four lead teachers are responsible for developing teaching at the school together with the school leadership and educators. We welcome new staff with diverse experiences who, together with our already skilled educators, wish to develop Bromstensskolan.

Less than half of the students have a cultural background other than Swedish, giving us many enriching connections to the rest of the world. We see our diversity as a strength and strive to take advantage of what we can learn from different cultures. Our ambitions are high, and the school is undergoing strong positive development. Our intention is to create a school where we help students develop their full potential. Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are a certified teacher for grades 1–6 with qualifications in music.
• Have current work experience and several years of experience teaching music.
• Have experience with formative assessment.

You are confident and stable in your professional role and have good self-awareness. You collaborate easily and see it as a matter of course, while being driven and independent. This means you take responsibility for planning and implementing your teaching. You have clear leadership skills and involve students in both teaching and planning. Your pedagogical insight is strong, and you have a good understanding that people absorb knowledge in different ways. You can make quick decisions and show judgment even under time pressure.
