Your Role

In the role of a teacher, you will teach our classes in chemistry and one or more other subjects based on your qualifications and competence. You are responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching in your subjects in accordance with the national curriculum. You adapt the teaching to meet the students' needs, interests, and prerequisites. You monitor, assess, grade, and document students' knowledge development. Furthermore, you build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. As a mentor, your most important task is to motivate students in their studies and strengthen their self-confidence and social development.

Together with colleagues, you drive various projects and collaborate on student learning. You belong to a team where you work together on systematic quality work, overall school development, and the development of students' upper secondary programs. You meet with your subject colleagues continuously for planning, assessment, and grading.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• Teacher certification with subject eligibility in chemistry and one or more additional subjects at the upper secondary level.
• Good digital competence with experience in working with digital pedagogical tools.
• Strong ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

The following are considered meritorious:

• Experience working as a chemistry teacher at the upper secondary level or equivalent.
• Subject eligibility for upper secondary school in subjects other than chemistry, preferably natural sciences.
• Experience in mentoring.

What We Offer

YBC is an innovative and forward-thinking upper secondary school in Sickla with approximately 1,000 students divided into three programs: economics, natural sciences, and social sciences. The economics program also includes a special pedagogical activity for students with autism. We are a modern school with excellent digital infrastructure and highly functional, beautiful facilities.
