Råby School in Bro is located close to nature. It is an adapted school offering both compulsory school (grundskola) and upper secondary school (gymnasieskola). The upper secondary program offered is the individualized program for adapted upper secondary education. We have approximately 82 students and 42 employees. We focus on early interventions, appropriate support measures, safety work, and welcome dialogue with you as a guardian.

As a nursing assistant (undersköterska) here, you work closely with students who have extensive needs for support in both learning and daily life. You are an important part of the school's work team and contribute to creating a safe, structured, and developmental learning environment where students have the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Job Description

The role includes, among other things:

  • Providing support for students' knowledge development based on individual prerequisites.
  • Working with care and daily assistance.
  • Performing certain healthcare interventions, such as tube feeding.
  • Managing and supporting students who use wheelchairs.
  • Working with students who have medical needs, such as epilepsy and diabetes.
  • Supporting students in their learning and social development, both in the classroom and during breaks.
  • Collaborating with teachers, special education teachers, and guardians to promote student development.
  • Contributing to a positive climate where students feel seen, safe, and included.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified nursing assistant.
  • Has experience working as a nursing assistant or similar work in schools/preschools.
  • Has knowledge or experience working with students with multiple functional impairments.
  • Has experience or training in medical interventions (e.g., tube feeding, epilepsy, diabetes).
  • Is confident in working with students in wheelchairs and other assistive devices.
  • Is calm, flexible, and responsible.
  • Has good collaboration skills and a professional approach.

It is meritorious if you have previous experience working with children and young people with intellectual disabilities in adapted compulsory schools or similar settings.

The position is a permanent full-time role. Probationary employment may apply. Start date by agreement.
