Additional Information

We welcome your application by June 22nd. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.

We are looking for a Family Home Secretary for the Family Home Centre, a key part of Borås City's initiative for children placed in family homes. We work wholeheartedly to offer security and stability for our children and families. As a Family Home Secretary, you can make a difference and provide good conditions for the children who need support and help.

About the Operations

You will join a work group where experience is valued and new energy is welcomed. We value mutual support and continuously develop our working methods through quality assurance, education, and development. We actively work to increase the number of our own family homes and have a clear work plan for focus and development issues. The Family Home Centre consists of 8 child secretaries, 15 family home secretaries, 1 educator, 3 senior social secretaries, and 2 unit managers. We are a work group that enjoys working together and supports each other. Borås City is also a participant in "Yrkesresan" (The Career Journey), which provides you with introductory and further training. Supervision is provided regularly by an external supervisor. We work based on the "Signs of Safety" framework.

Job Responsibilities

The Family Home Secretaries are divided into two teams. Team 1 works with recruitment, investigation, and matching. Team 2 works with advice and support. We are now looking for one more employee for Team 1.

As a Family Home Secretary in Team 1, you will work with recruiting new service providers (foster families), investigating families, and matching the right family to the child. You will collaborate closely with your colleagues, and during investigations, you will work in pairs. You will meet many new people, investigate, and assess families' ability to serve as service providers.

The position includes participating in events on certain occasions, sometimes in the evenings and on some weekends per year. Since we have family homes throughout Sweden, you need to be able to work late evenings and occasionally stay away overnight with advance notice.

Since we offer support to our family homes and contact families via phone during evenings and weekends, the role also includes being on call during these times according to a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

To become our next colleague, you need to have a degree in social work (socionom) or another equivalent academic education within social work. We prefer that you have previous experience in social work with children and families and are skilled in documentation. Experience in family home work is meritorious. As a person, you are flexible and welcome changes with a positive attitude. You thrive with structure and have the ability to work methodically and organized, while effectively prioritizing your tasks. Your teamwork is both productive and contributes to a positive work environment. Quality and good results are important to you, and you are aware of the importance of careful documentation. A valid B-driver's license is required.

In the event of a job offer, an extract from the police criminal record must be presented.
