Are you passionate about making a difference for children and young people who need a safe home? We are now looking for an experienced family home consultant who wants to take overall responsibility for our family homes in Skåne. Here, you will have freedom under responsibility, short decision-making paths, and close colleagues with high competence.

About the role

As a family home consultant, you are the closest support to the foster families throughout the placement. You supervise, support, and follow up with the foster families in their daily tasks, acting as the central hub between the foster families, the placed children, social services, and other actors. You are responsible for a number of placements and ensure that every child receives safe, stable, and well-documented care.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Supervising and supporting foster families, with regular visits to the homes
• Following up on placements based on the child's needs and set goals
• Creating and updating implementation plans, as well as writing ongoing documentation and monthly reports
• Collaborating with social services, schools, child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP), healthcare, and other authorities
• Recruiting, investigating, and training new foster families, as well as writing foster family investigations
• Ensuring that the work complies with current laws, regulations, and the organization's quality requirements
• Contributing to the development of the operation together with your colleagues

Travel within Skåne occurs in connection with visits to the foster families.

We are looking for someone who has

• A degree in social work or another higher education qualification deemed equivalent by the employer
• Several years of experience working with children and young people, preferably within foster care or social child welfare
• Good knowledge of relevant legislation, such as the Social Services Act (SoL) and the Law on Care of Young Persons (LVU)
• Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
• A valid driver's license (Category B)

Meritorious qualifications

• Experience with consultant-supported foster care
• Experience with investigation work and documentation according to BBIC
• Training in evidence-based methods such as Motivational Interviewing (MI), ART, ACRA, and TMO
• Experience in supervision
