About the position

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for you who are sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take the initiative and see what needs to be done.

I am a cheerful woman in my late 40s living in Svedala, with easy access to both train and bus. I have a muscle disease that has affected my lungs, so I cannot breathe independently. I have a tracheostomy and use a ventilator.

I am a very creative person and appreciate it if you share some of my interests, which include my dog Texas (a playful young dog), baking, cooking, handicrafts, scrapbooking, and watching a good TV series.

As my assistant, you need to be flexible and self-assured. I would appreciate it if you have great patience, are quick to laugh, yet act professionally when needed.

I am looking for you who:

• have previous experience working with people's care and well-being
• have the willingness to learn how to work with a tracheostomy, ventilator, and cough assist machine. If you already have this knowledge, it is an advantage - otherwise, you will receive training from me
• have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and are a good listener - as the tracheostomy means I mostly whisper
• are comfortable around pets - Texas is here for your enjoyment too. Do you have a dog/pet of your own?
• are non-smoking (during working hours) as I use oxygen, which does not mix well with fire!

It is a plus for me and you if you:

• have education or are studying within healthcare and social care
• have a B-driving license (even though both train and bus come to me)
• share some of my interests so we have something to talk about.

When we meet, we will see how we get along. If it feels good, we will schedule some times for you to come and go alongside me. I prefer female applicants, but all applications will be considered.

Working hours, employment percentage, and salary:

The position involves work during daytime, evening, and night on weekdays as well as weekends. Working hours are 07:00-14:00, 14:00-21:00, and 21:00-07:00. If you work nights, you need to be awake for the entire night.

You always work together with a colleague because I have double assistance. This means there are two assistants during each shift.

There is an opportunity for both regular work and extra shifts if needed. We are also looking for substitutes who can work with short notice and during holiday periods.

Hourly wage by agreement. Other benefits are paid according to the collective agreement.

Start date and introduction are arranged by agreement.
