About the role

We are currently seeking 4 full-time personal assistants and 2 hourly personal assistants for a middle-aged woman with cerebral palsy living in Västra Frölunda. Introduction takes place immediately, with an active start from July 1, 2026.

The client uses a wheelchair and needs help with most aspects of her daily life. This may include personal care, transfers, communication, daily routines, activities, and creating a sense of security throughout the day and night.

Communication and duties

The client communicates using Bliss. If you have prior experience with Bliss, it is a big plus, but the most important thing is that you are curious, receptive, and willing to learn. We provide on-site training. Therefore, you do not need to know Bliss from day one, but you must be willing to understand a person who communicates in her own unique way.

The shifts are primarily scheduled as 24-hour shifts:
08:00 – 08:00

The client also bathes on certain days of the week. During these times, we work with double staffing. This means there may be additional shifts outside of the 24-hour shifts, related to bathing and other moments where the client needs extra support.

We are looking for someone who is...

We are looking for someone who is secure, responsible, and has a good sense of humor. You need to be able to be both calm and alert, take initiative without taking over, and understand that personal assistance is about enabling someone else's life, not controlling it.

You are welcome to be someone who has patience even when things take time, can read subtle signals, understands the importance of continuity, is comfortable with personal care, has humor without being frivolous, and believes that communication is more than just spoken words.

Experience in personal assistance, cerebral palsy, transfers, or alternative communication is advantageous, but the right personality weighs heavily. We will teach you the practical aspects, but you need to bring your own commitment.
