The Development Unit at the Army Combat School (MSS) is looking for a Development Officer within the area of Representative for Armoured and Mechanized Battalion Type Units. Are you interested in independent work with opportunities to develop units, methods, and material systems? If so, you are welcome to the Army Combat School (MSS), the workplace where we create decision support for the development of the future Army.

Within this framework, the Army Combat School educates the Swedish Armed Forces' future commanders using advanced training facilities and extensive knowledge.
About the Development Unit
MSS Development Unit provides the Army Staff, the Defence Staff, and other parts of the Swedish Armed Forces as well as other authorities with results from trials and studies, decision support, and advice. The unit is organized into a unit leadership and six departments, including one department focused on units and capabilities, a study and experimentation department, two type unit departments (battalion with material responsibility for standardized vehicles, one in Skövde and one in Kvarn, Borensberg), a command and control development department, and a publication department. The Development Unit leads capability development for type units (division, brigade, maneuver battalions, and independent companies) on behalf of and in close cooperation with the Army Staff.

- Coordinates the influence of functions on type units.
- Maintains contact networks with influential areas within the Swedish Armed Forces (SAF) but also with FMV (Sw Defence Materiel Administration), FOI (Swedish Defence Research Agency), or other actors.

- Driver's license class B (manual).
Personal Attributes
We are looking for you who have a good ability to cooperate and collaborate, both internally and externally with the Army Combat School and the Swedish Armed Forces. You have a strong desire to develop yourself and your area of responsibility. You are driven but have patience and a good ability to work independently and goal-oriented. You have high integrity and are security-conscious. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
Merits
- Practical and long-term experience from a brigade, equivalent.
- Practical experience of development activities at units, schools, or centers.
- International experience.
- Experience (theoretical and practical) from the combat technique level, e.g., company/battalion, with the aim of bringing the user perspective of its constituent material systems.
