Personal Assistant Wanted for Female Client in Svedala

I am a youthful and cheerful 44-year-old woman – positive, kind, and thoughtful, if I may say so myself. I recently moved into my own apartment in Svedala and am now looking for a personal assistant who wants to be part of my daily life.

I have Type 1 diabetes and an intellectual disability, which means I need support with my daily living. A very important part of the job is helping me manage my diabetes. This involves, among other things, calculating and adjusting insulin based on food and physical activity, as well as administering insulin. This is a significant responsibility and a central part of the role.

My disability also means I need practical help and support in various everyday situations. Therefore, it is important that you are attentive and aware of my needs – even when I cannot always express them myself.

As a personal assistant, you will work with me in different environments: at home, at day activities, during leisure time, and at other activities. I enjoy baking, cooking, exercising, walking, playing simple tennis, light jogging, cycling tandem, dancing, singing, crafting, reading, and visiting beautiful gardens. I am social, talkative, and imaginative, and I appreciate company and togetherness.

I am looking for you who work with commitment, warmth, and care. You are flexible, patient, a good listener, tidy, and precise. You need to enjoy home and household chores. It is a great advantage if you are sporty and physically active. Extra points if you are handy and have an interest in creativity or music – perhaps you enjoy painting or handicrafts, just like me. You are welcome to be initiative-taking, creative, and good at creating meaningful activities.

Employment Type

We are looking for both:

• An assistant for SLUV employment (Swedish model for employment of assistants)
• An hourly paid assistant

All employments initially start as hourly positions, with the possibility of changing to another employment type later on.

Working Hours

Working hours are scheduled for daytime, evening, night, and waiting time. Now that I live in my own apartment, you will primarily work 24-hour shifts, but during the introduction period, shifts will be shorter. You are often off on weekends, but needs may occasionally arise. During most of the summer and major holidays, you are currently mostly off, as I stay with my parents, but this may change in the future, so flexibility is required.

Requirements for the Position

• You are a non-smoker
• You have a valid Category B driver's license
• Access to your own car is required

The employment begins with an introduction to ensure you feel secure in the work, get to know me, and gain good insight into a responsible assignment.
