Personal assistance is a service under the LSS (Act on Support and Service for Certain Functionally Impaired Persons). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to people who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Every client is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You value the client's self-determination and privacy, and contribute to making daily life run smoothly.

About the role

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done.

Our client is a cheerful 48-year-old woman living in Svedala. The client has a progressive muscle disease and cannot breathe independently; she has a tracheostomy and uses a ventilator. She is a very creative person and appreciates it if you share some of her interests, which include her dog Texas (a playful puppy), baking, cooking, handicrafts, and scrapbooking.

As an assistant, you need to be flexible and self-assured. The client would appreciate it if you have great patience and the ability to be personal while acting professionally.

We are now looking for you who meet the following criteria:

• Have previous experience working in healthcare/care or as a personal assistant.

• Have experience working with tracheostomies, ventilators, and cough assist machines, and have previously worked with a person requiring this care 24/7.

• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

• Are not allergic to pets.

• Are a non-smoker (during working hours).

The following are also meritorious:

• Have education in healthcare and care with a focus on tracheostomy patients.

• Hold a valid B-class driver's license.

• Share the client's interests.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability. The client prefers female applicants, but all applications will be considered.

Working hours, part-time/full-time, and salary:

The current form of employment is "hourly employment". The position involves working during the day, evening, and night on weekdays and weekends. Working hours are 07:00–14:00, 14:00–21:00, and 21:00–07:00.

There may be an opportunity for a fixed schedule rotation.

Fixed hourly wage by agreement, and other compensations are according to the collective agreement.

Start date: Immediately.
