The Role of Healthcare Administrator

Your main responsibilities will be medical documentation and diagnosis and procedure coding for inpatients and day-care patients. Additionally, other healthcare administrative tasks such as IT support and providing administrative support for other professional groups on the ward.

At the Medicine and Geriatrics Clinic at Höglandssjukhuset in Eksjö, we care for patients in need of specialized medical and geriatric care. Within the clinic, there are five care units with different focuses and directions. The Medicine and Geriatrics Clinic at Höglandssjukhuset in Eksjö is a developing operation with a history of innovative, systematic, and evidence-based quality work with a strong patient focus. Since 2014, the clinic's management system has been certified according to ISO 9001:2014. The fact that the clinic is ISO-certified is something we are all very proud of. This simply means that we have order and structure in our operations. It creates good conditions for us who work at the clinic to know what, when, and how. It contributes to ensuring the quality of our processes so that patients receive good and safe care.

Your Profile

We value qualities such as a positive attitude, commitment, flexibility, service-mindedness, and good interpersonal skills. You have a professional work approach and find it easy to organize your work. You thrive in collaboration with others while taking personal responsibility.

You are educated as a healthcare administrator or equivalent. You also have coding training. You have good IT skills and are accustomed to expressing yourself both orally and in writing, with a good understanding of language. Furthermore, we expect you to have good knowledge of the Office package. If you are an expert in our medical record system, Cosmic, we view this as a positive attribute.

We offer you stimulating and varied work where you collaborate closely with all professional groups within the medicine clinic. You work office hours, but the schedules are flexible; we apply individual scheduling – preference scheduling – and you have the possibility to work remotely 1 day/week.

As a clinic, we always want to improve and have several improvement projects and working groups ongoing that develop the operations, where you can participate with your competence, e.g., TIK, Evolution, KPS, KPN, and coding network.
