Welcome to Spängerskolan, a single-track school for grades F-9 with approximately 260 students, located in the beautiful nature of Arkelstorp.

Through successful teaching, guided by the vision "Learning for life – together it is a given," we work for student learning and good goal fulfillment. Student health services work should begin in the classroom. The Pedagogical Development Group, led by the principals, leads the development work at the school. The focus is in close collaboration with the school's student health team, consisting of a special education teacher, special needs teacher, counselor, school nurse, and principals. The school doctor and school psychologist are also part of our team.

Our long-term focus is on learning environments that promote learning for the individual within the group, study strategies, collaboration with homes, interactions, and good relationships.

Your role with us

Based on analyses at the individual, group, and organizational levels, you work in a supervisory capacity with a focus on groups and organizations. You actively contribute to qualified discussions regarding learning situations and the development of the school environment, held together with the principal, work teams, and the student health team. Furthermore, you support teachers in structuring their work to facilitate students' learning situations. With a salutogenic approach, you contribute to health-promoting and preventive work.

Working on issues regarding inclusion and core values is a natural part of your daily work. You work to remove obstacles and difficulties in the learning environment, and to develop alternative learning environments and tools.

In your work, you build relationships both internally and externally, characterized by mutual respect and trust, and you meet students where they are. You engage, inspire, and stimulate students to learn and take responsibility, and you lead and organize the work to create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation. You systematically reflect on and evaluate practical work individually and in collaboration with others. Planning, prioritizing, and taking responsibility for your own time and development are also part of the job duties.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who primarily have a teaching license with eligibility to teach grades 7-9 in elementary school. Alternatively, we are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach grades 4-6 in at least two core subjects. The position also requires a degree in special education and experience of three years of well-regarded work as a teacher. You have a well-regarded ability to supervise, and experience teaching as a teacher in grades 7-9 or 4-6 in elementary school is advantageous. Experience with assessment work is also advantageous.

Furthermore, we require a good ability to implement the organization's mission regarding students in need of special support, as well as knowledge of how to adapt working methods and approaches to the conditions of different groups and individuals. Naturally, you are well-versed in current special educational research and have good knowledge of alternative learning tools.

You have good knowledge of and the ability to work based on current regulatory documents. You can systematically reflect on and evaluate practical work individually and with others. In this role, you need to be able to use digital technology as a tool to search for information, plan, communicate, present, and document. Exercising situation-adapted learning and leadership, based on understanding students' situations and values and meeting them where they are, you handle with ease. You build relationships both internally and externally characterized by respect and trust, and can engage, inspire, stimulate, and strengthen students to learn and take responsibility.
