Luna Upper Secondary School is an independent school located on Lidingö, catering to students with neuropsychiatric disabilities. We offer three national university-preparatory programs as well as the introductory program – individual alternative – for students who are not eligible for upper secondary school.

With competent and dedicated staff, we base our education on each student's abilities and prerequisites. We are now looking for upper secondary school teachers in mathematics and chemistry who have a special interest and commitment to special needs pedagogy. Experience teaching both at the lower secondary and upper secondary levels is an advantage.

• Are a qualified teacher.
• Preferably have experience working with children and young people in need of special support.
• Are a secure adult who sees different ways of thinking as a pedagogical challenge and the students' ability to master new skills as a given. You have a well-developed empathetic ability, which is a prerequisite as our students need great understanding and commitment.
• Are independent, flexible, and solution-focused.
• Have a good ability to create, maintain, and develop relationships. You are unpretentious and believe in collaboration to develop and be developed.

Here you will have the opportunity to work in small teaching groups with the student in focus. You will join an environment that is permissive, challenging, and creative. A business driven with high quality and characterized by constant development.

You will teach on our national programs as well as on the introductory program. The work on the introductory program involves largely teaching towards the goals of compulsory school and helping students on an individual level. On all programs, the work involves helping students with structure and motivation. The position includes mentorship for some students whom you will support and work closely with during their upper secondary education.

Luna Upper Secondary School is located in the beautiful nature of Lidingö. The school is situated directly adjacent to the Lidingö Nature Reserve and is only 22 minutes from Stockholm Central Station with good transport links. The bus stop is close to the school. The school has a close collaboration with Luna Youth Residence, which is a boarding school and an LSS residence.

Luna Upper Secondary School is run by Utvecklingspedagogik Sverige AB. Utvecklingspedagogik conducts educational and care activities that increase knowledge, quality of life, and participation in society for children, young people, and adults with disabilities. All operations are characterized by high quality, constant development, and a focus on the individual.
