On behalf of the Swedish National Agency for Education, Merit Utbildning is conducting a competence development program for staff in preschools and after-school centers who have a mother tongue other than Swedish. The purpose is to strengthen participants' language development, professional competence, and collaboration in their interactions with children, guardians, and colleagues.

We are now seeking dedicated trainers who wish to contribute to a development process that makes a real difference in everyday life.

About the role

As a trainer, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on instruction in work-oriented Swedish. The instruction focuses on:

• Pedagogical leadership, interaction, and values
• Communication and intercultural understanding
• Documentation and digital tools
• Collaboration within the work team

You work both independently and in collaboration with others, adapting the instruction to the participants' needs and levels. The role also involves establishing and developing contacts with municipalities and operational managers to spread information about the competence development program.

The instruction takes place both remotely and on-site.

Your profile

We are currently seeking trainers to teach work-oriented Swedish with a focus on:

• Pedagogical leadership, interaction, and values
• Communication and intercultural understanding
• Documentation and digital tools
• Collaboration within the work team

We are looking for someone who

• Has experience teaching Swedish as a second language, preferably with a vocational focus
• Can adapt instruction to different conditions and language levels
• Has experience from preschools, after-school centers, or other pedagogical work with children
• Is confident in using digital tools and learning platforms
• Expresses themselves well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is an advantage if you have experience in adult education, supervision, or work as a language liaison.
