Your Responsibilities

The main goal of the project is to develop organic bioelectronic technologies to monitor and influence plant physiology. You will be involved in the manufacturing of components using standard microfabrication and additive manufacturing techniques. Furthermore, you will integrate the components into facility model systems and perform studies to enhance plant growth. As a doctoral student, you will be responsible for growing and caring for plants in our controlled cultivation facilities. The research has an interdisciplinary character, including material-component characterization and plant integration. You will collaborate with colleagues specialized in plant biology.

As a doctoral student, you will devote yourself to your doctoral education and the research project in which you are included. Your work may also include teaching or participation in other departmental duties, up to 20% of full-time.

Your Qualifications

You have completed an advanced level degree in applied physics, materials science, engineering, biotechnology, chemistry, polymer science, or completed courses totaling at least 240 higher education credits, of which at least 60 credits are at an advanced level within the above-mentioned areas, or have otherwise acquired substantially equivalent knowledge.

Research experience is considered an extra merit.

As a person, you must be driven, creative, independent, and have a well-developed problem-solving ability.
