Do you want to help train the alarm and security technicians of the future?

We are looking for an experienced and engaged educator for the course Electrical Theory within the Alarm and Security Technician program in Södertälje.

In this role, you are responsible for planning, conducting, and examining the course, while contributing your professional expertise to provide students with a relevant and practically grounded education.

About the Assignment

The course aims to provide students with basic knowledge of electrical systems, electrical safety, and electrical measurement methods in connection with security technology installations.

Scope

• On-site teaching in Södertälje
• Course duration: 5 weeks

Responsibilities

You will, among other things:

• Plan the course content based on established course objectives
• Develop course materials, exercises, and examinations
• Conduct teaching and laboratory sessions
• Guide and support students
• Evaluate and grade examinations
• Document the course structure and results
• Collaborate with educational leadership and other educators

Course Content

The teaching includes, among other topics:

• Electrical quantities and relationships
• Direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC)
• Structure of electrical systems
• Electrical safety, standards, and regulations
• Conductors, semiconductors, and insulators
• Measuring instruments and measurement techniques
• Troubleshooting in electrical systems
• Soldering
• Practical electrical installations
• Tools and material knowledge

We are looking for someone who

• Has current and relevant competence in electrical engineering or a related field
• Has practical experience from the industry
• Has experience in education, guidance, or competency development for adults
• Can explain technical relationships in a pedagogical manner
• Is structured, engaged, and communicative
• Has good digital skills

Meritorious

• Experience teaching at a university college or in adult education
• Experience working in the alarm, security, or installation industry
• Experience in validating or assessing professional competence
• Knowledge of digital learning platforms and digital examinations
