We are looking for an engaged educator to teach the course Chemistry and Ecology at the university college level. This assignment is suitable for you who have good subject knowledge in chemistry, ecology, and environmental science, as well as experience in teaching or educational initiatives for adults.

About the assignment

The course aims to provide students with basic knowledge in water chemistry, ecology, and geoscience, with a focus on environmental monitoring and environmental protection.

In this role, you are responsible for planning, conducting, and examining course modules, as well as creating a pedagogical and engaging learning environment.

The course content includes, among other things:

• Water chemistry and water chemical processes
• Basic ecological concepts and terminology
• The impact of biotic and abiotic factors on ecosystems
• Geoscience and soil chemistry
• Environmental pollutants and their effects
• Risk assessment and chemical hazard classes
• Environmental monitoring and environmental analysis
• Practical exercises and project work

We are looking for someone who has:

• Relevant higher education or university degree in chemistry, environmental science, ecology, geoscience, or a related field
• Good knowledge of water chemistry and environmental-related issues
• Experience from environmental work, laboratory activities, environmental monitoring, or similar operations
• Pedagogical experience from education, teaching, supervision, or competence development is meritorious
• Good ability to communicate complex subjects in a clear and inspiring way
