About the Unit

We work together to ensure that all children and students in Upplands-Bro Municipality learn, develop, and thrive. The Resource Unit is the central child and student health service, consisting of school and preschool psychologists, school nurses, school doctors, a general special needs educator, a general speech therapist, and the unit manager.

The Resource Unit is also responsible for processing, decision-making, and coordination regarding supplementary allowances, school transport, and admission to adapted schools. We work with the municipality's nine primary schools, adapted primary and upper secondary schools, one upper secondary school, and one resource school.

The workplace is centrally located in Kungsängen, just a two-minute walk from commuter trains, buses, car parking, and general services.

Job Description

The position is 50% and is located within the School Form Team at the Resource Unit. The School Form Team is responsible for admission to adapted primary and upper secondary schools and plays a central role in ensuring a legally secure and well-coordinated process.

The team consists of a coordinator, special needs educator, school counselor, school psychologist, school nurse, and the unit manager, who is the decision-maker in cases regarding admission to adapted schools.

Your Responsibilities

The role includes:

  • Being the coordinator for the School Form Team
  • Serving as the School Form Team's school counselor
  • Conducting social assessments as needed, primarily for preschool children within the framework of school form investigations
  • Performing school counselor duties within the Education Office

The main task is to coordinate the work of the School Form Team. This involves responsibility for driving and quality-assuring processes related to adapted school forms at the home municipality level, for both adapted primary and upper secondary schools. The role includes preparing and coordinating team meetings, managing documentation in ProRenata, and acting as a central contact person and collaboration partner for school leadership and guardians.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a degree in Social Work (Socialt arbete)
  • Has experience working with social assessments within the framework of admission to adapted schools
  • Has knowledge of and interest in processing and coordinating school form investigations (public authority duties), adapted schools, and intellectual disabilities
  • Has merit experience in processing and coordinating school form investigations

We are looking for someone who is structured, meticulous, and has strong administrative skills, as the work places high demands on documentation, legally secure processing, and coordination between multiple actors. You are a skilled relationship builder who creates trust with principals and other partners, while meeting guardians with empathy and professionalism. The role requires flexibility, good communication skills, and that you thrive in a coordinating function where you are the hub of the work.
