About Kumlaby School
Kumlaby School is a grades F-9 school located in the southern part of Kumla. Near our school, there are beautiful outdoor areas with many opportunities for various outdoor activities. The after-school care has two departments where teachers in after-school care/fritidspedagoger plan, collaborate, and offer an inspiring operation. Here we work thematically based on our annual calendar to promote student learning. Collaboration and core values are important elements in our work.
We have an Instagram account where we show our after-school care and kumlabyfritidshem. For us, varied activities and choice options are an important part of the operation.
In addition to close collaboration with your closest colleagues, you will also collaborate with other colleagues at the school to create the best possible learning environment for our students.
In Kumla Municipality, we have a network for our after-school care with different elements and themes to increase quality and develop our operation.

Job Responsibilities
Together with colleagues, work teams, and school leadership, we work to ensure that every student develops as much as possible. We would like to develop movement and outdoor activities at the after-school care. As a teacher in after-school care, you work in close collaboration with the school's other professions such as teachers, student welfare, as well as the principal and deputy principal.
Your main responsibilities are to:
- organize, implement, and update the after-school care operation based on current regulatory documents.
- work promotively and preventively, and support the development of the pedagogical work to meet the needs of all students.
- follow up and evaluate implemented measures at the organizational, group, and individual levels.
- demonstrate advanced ability for an individualized approach for children and students in need of special support.
Collaboration, professionalism, and student focus are key words in our operation.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are educated and licensed as a teacher in after-school care/fritidspedagog. We would like to see that you have a focus on music to complement the others.
To thrive with us at Kumlaby, you always put students at the center, and you are engaged, secure in your role, and have good collaboration skills.
You have good knowledge of children's development and learning and see the individual's needs at the organizational, group, and individual levels. In your role as a teacher in after-school care, the ability to communicate and interact with students, guardians, and other professional groups is of great importance.
It is meritorious if you also have experience of:
- working with students within NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) issues.
- working based on outdoor pedagogy.
- language and knowledge-developing approaches.
- and/or experience of driving development work at the after-school care.
