Responsibilities

In the role of Accounting Manager, you will have a broad and important assignment where you are driving the municipality's accounting work.

You will, among other things, be responsible for and coordinate the municipality's accounting, annual accounts, annual report, and reporting. You will produce texts and notes for the four-month report, interim report, and annual report, and ensure that the accounting follows current laws, regulations, and good accounting practice (K3).

You function as a support for the operations in accounting matters by steering, supporting, and giving advice in economic-related questions. The role also involves close collaboration with other administrations, municipal companies, auditors, and external actors. Furthermore, you are involved in developing and improving routines, processes, and systems within the economic area, and perform other tasks related to the accounting area.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A degree in Economics or equivalent higher education, or alternatively experience assessed as equivalent
• At least 5 years of experience in qualified accounting work and confidence in the entire annual closing process
• Experience in producing annual reports according to K3
• Good understanding of accounting principles and regulations
• Documented experience in driving and developing processes within the economic area
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious if you:

• Have experience from municipal or other public operations
• Have worked in a politically governed organization
• Have worked with the Municipalities' Summary of Accounts to SCB
• Have very good knowledge of Excel
• Have experience in driving development and change work within the accounting area
