Project Manager for National Development within Financial Reporting
The purpose of the Swedish Companies Registration Office's (Bolagsverket) operations is to provide the prerequisites for a stable and well-functioning business community. By registering and providing current and correct company information, we contribute to increased transparency and security for societal actors. RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to lead a national development assignment with significant importance for the quality of corporate financial reporting?
The Government has tasked the Swedish Companies Registration Office, together with the Accounting Standards Board, the Swedish Economic Crime Authority, the Swedish Tax Agency, and the Swedish National Bureau of Statistics, to conduct a review of the financial reporting system and submit proposals for measures that strengthen the quality of the information companies report.
The Swedish Companies Registration Office is responsible for coordinating the assignment and is now seeking a Project Manager who wants to take responsibility for leading the work from start to finish.
As a Project Manager, you are responsible for planning, leading, and coordinating the assignment, as well as ensuring that the work is carried out according to the decided schedule and with the right quality. You will hold together the work between the participating authorities and create conditions for effective collaboration throughout the assignment.
The role includes, among other things:
- planning, leading, and monitoring the implementation of the assignment
- coordinating the work between the participating authorities
- ensuring that the assignment's goals, deliverables, and schedule are met
- leading the work to analyze fundamental problems and development needs in the current financial reporting system
- compiling experiences from other countries and relevant actors
- preparing materials and proposals for measures, including potential legislative changes
- leading dialogues with industry organizations and other stakeholders
- responsible for producing interim and final reports to the Government.
The assignment is to be reported in part by January 28, 2027, and finally by May 27, 2027.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who have:
- a law degree, Master of Laws, or another academic degree that the employer considers equivalent
- experience in qualified work at a strategic level within an authority, ministry, or other public sector operations
- experience in leading and driving complex assignments involving multiple authorities or organizations
- experience in being responsible for and securing the quality of complex analyses or investigations as a basis for high-level decisions
- very good ability to express yourself clearly and in a target-group-adapted manner in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- good knowledge of English
The following are meritorious:
- experience with government assignments, state inquiries, or other major assignments with external reporting or publication.
- knowledge of financial reporting
- experience in digitalization work within the public sector
To succeed in the role, you need to have a good holistic view and the ability to see issues from a strategic perspective. You can weigh together different interests and make decisions with the best interests of the operations in focus.
You are structured and work in a planned and methodical way. You organize the work well, drive it forward, and ensure that deliverables are made with high quality within given timeframes.
You are collaborative and have an easy time building good relationships. You listen to different perspectives, communicate clearly, and work without hierarchy to find solutions that contribute to the common goal.
The role also requires good leadership skills. You can create engagement, coordinate different actors, and lead the work forward towards common goals. You are clear in your communication, dare to make decisions, and create conditions for participation and results.

Duration: Start date: 2026-08-17 or by agreement, end date: 2027-06-30.
The employment concerns a specific fixed-term appointment of 50 percent. The degree of employment corresponds on average to approximately 20 hours per week, and the scope may vary over time.
