About the Role

The Employment Market Unit offers work training and activities for individuals who are currently far from the labor market but aim to move closer to the open labor market and self-sufficiency.

The unit's mission is to work in collaboration with social services, the Swedish Public Employment Service, adult education centers (Komvux), and other actors to reduce unemployment and dependency on social benefits among Sollefteå Municipality's residents. To achieve this, we utilize our platform, other municipal operations, private companies, and non-profit organizations.

In combination with coaching conversations and meaningful activities where the individual is in focus, we work systematically to assist our participants in reaching their goals.

Responsibilities

The operations are based on supporting individuals on their path to self-sufficiency. We work with motivational and coaching interventions both individually and in groups. The work is based on 5 different interventions where evidence-based methods form the foundation of our approach. Our attitude is based on available research.

As an Employment Consultant, you serve as a support to both the participant and the supervisor at the workplace where the person has their internship or employment.

An Employment Consultant's tasks include, among other things, mapping, coordination, and providing support in creating the participant's individual goals and implementation plans, as well as following up on these.

The role involves establishing, developing, and maintaining internship and work training placements. The Employment Consultant becomes the hub between participants, employers, commissioners, and other networks from start to finish.

Aside from the relationship-building and guiding functions, the work includes administrative tasks, and you have a responsibility for documentation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have relevant education in guidance, coaching, or experience that the employer deems equivalent. Experience and knowledge in Case Management, Supported Employment, and Individual Placement and Support are desirable.

Work experience is seen as a given, and if you have experience from similar work, it is an asset. We would like you to have experience, knowledge, and above all, the willingness to work with individuals in a marginalized position, which may include substance abuse issues, mental health problems, or co-morbidity.

As a person, you are outgoing, goal-oriented, and driven. You are a good listener and find it easy to collaborate with others. You enjoy developing both operations and seeing opportunities in daily work.

You must be able to express yourself well in speech and writing. And most importantly, you should have a burning interest in people! Personal suitability is given great weight.

A Category B driver's license is required.
