The Department of Data and Electrical Engineering offers education in computer science, electronics, electrical engineering, and sound production. Research at the department takes place at the research center Sensible Things that Communicate (www.miun.se/stc) and focuses on sensor-based systems and services for use in the Internet of Things and artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities involve supervision and grading of assignments within the distance learning program in web development. The relevant courses are: DT224G – Introduction to Web Development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, DT200G – Graphic Techniques for the Web, and DT068G – Web Usability.

Qualifications

Candidates for the position of teaching assistant must meet the requirements described in Mid Sweden University’s employment regulations.

Eligible candidates are those admitted to undergraduate or advanced level studies. Additionally, you must have completed at least 40 credits in computer science. You must have good oral and written skills in Swedish. Previous teaching experience, preferably in distance education, is meritorious.

You should have good collaboration skills and be able to work independently.

Selection Criteria

The selection is based on your academic merits, experience, and suitability in relation to the courses to be supervised.

Administration

The processing of the employment follows the forms specified in Chapter 5 of the Higher Education Ordinance and proceeds in accordance with Mid Sweden University’s employment regulations.

Employment and Start Date

The employment covers one or more positions at 10–30 % of full-time during the whole or part of the period. Start date 2026-09-01 or by agreement, but no later than 2027-01-31.

The employment may be renewed in accordance with Chapter 5, Section 12 of the Higher Education Ordinance (1993:100).
