About the Role

The Finance Department is the hub for the municipality's finances. Here, we are 14 people who work together, help make each other better, and are development-oriented.

As an economist here, you will support unit managers within the Welfare Administration, form a team together with the controller, and be responsible for several accounting areas.

This is a role for you who want to work with multiple perspectives to create a good whole. You will work close to the operations with the administration through reconciliations and quality follow-ups of the activities.

Responsibilities

Together with your controller, you will support the Welfare Administration. You will collaborate with different teams and areas within the Finance Department. You will have close cooperation with employees both within the Finance Department and other employees in the municipality, as well as an important role in developing our working methods and financial processes.

You will, among other things:

• Be responsible for supporting unit managers in preparing materials for budget, annual accounts, follow-up, and forecasting work.
• Support unit managers with analyses from a holistic perspective and prepare good decision-making materials.
• Form a team together with the controller for the Welfare Administration.
• Be responsible for certain accounting areas.
• Collaborate in the teams within the Finance Department.
• Develop the budget and forecasting process, both working methods and good system solutions.
• Work to ensure that guidelines, working methods, and materials lead to sound financial management that contributes to optimizing resource use and promoting cost-effectiveness at Kramfors Municipality.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are solution-oriented, enjoy collaboration, are responsible, and have a consultative working style with the ability to build good relationships. You have good analytical skills, work in a structured manner, and drive issues to completion.

To succeed in the role, in addition to understanding financial processes and strategic financial work, you need a strong interest in understanding the conditions of the operations and the connection between operational and financial management. You have the ability to plan and organize your work in advance but can also adapt when conditions change.

For this role, the following are required:

• University or college education in economics.
• Very good knowledge of accounting as well as legislation and regulations.
• Very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
