NOTE: This is a fixed-term project position until April 30, 2029
The Chamber of Commerce Central Sweden is looking for a Project Coordinator for Sundsvall.
Do you want a varied job where you have the opportunity to develop, be creative, and at the same time contribute to solving one of the region's most important future challenges? Do you want to work in a role where you get to meet new people, build relationships, drive activities, and make a real difference for young people, employers, and society at large? Then we at the Chamber of Commerce Central Sweden believe we might be looking for you.
As a Project Coordinator, you will become part of the Competence Compass STEM project and the Chamber of Commerce Central Sweden, a business organization working to strengthen the conditions for companies in Västernorrland and Jämtland/Härjedalen. You will join a tight-knit team with engaged colleagues working on issues related to competence supply, infrastructure, and international trade.
The Competence Compass STEM project works to strengthen the link between education and working life, particularly within healthcare and technology (STEM). Through collaboration between schools, employers, universities, municipalities, and other actors, we aim to create better conditions for future competence supply in the region.
In the role of Project Coordinator, you will become a key part of this work. You will work both operationally and strategically together with the project group and our partners. The role involves great variation, many contact areas, and the opportunity to influence and develop working methods over time.
Your main areas of responsibility
- Labor market knowledge and activities for young people
Together with colleagues, you will meet students in primary school, upper secondary school, and post-secondary education to discuss working life, educational paths, and future opportunities in the region. Through lectures, study visits, and activities, you inspire young people to engage with their future and establish a clearer connection between education and working life. - Collaboration with employers and educational providers
You work closely with employers, schools, universities, learning centers, and municipalities to build relationships and develop collaboration. You become a vital link between education and working life, capturing needs, building networks, and creating opportunities for future competence supply in the region. - Events, networking, and project activities
You plan, coordinate, and execute activities such as networking meetings, workshops, Welcome Days, and other meeting places between young people and working life. The role involves both strategic and operational work where you use your creativity, collaboration skills, and structure to drive activities from idea to implementation and follow-up. - Development and methodology
The project is development-oriented, meaning you will work with the project group to test, develop, and improve working methods and approaches. You contribute to creating long-term structures and methods that can continue to live on even after the project ends.
Who are you?
We believe you are a person who genuinely enjoys working with people and building relationships. You are engaged, unpretentious, and confident in representing the project in meetings with various target groups.
You are proactive and self-reliant while functioning well in a team. You thrive in a varied role where you need to plan, prioritize, and drive several processes in parallel. You have good structure, a solution-oriented approach, and see opportunities rather than obstacles.
We also believe that you:
- Are creative and development-oriented
- Have good collaboration skills both internally and externally
- Are communicative and confident in social contexts
- Have the ability to build trust and create engagement
- Are flexible and thrive in a project where no two weeks look exactly alike
Qualifications
- At least upper secondary education
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
- A valid driver's license (Category B) is required
Experience in project work, events, education, collaboration, or work with young people is an advantage.
