Do you want to lead one of Region Västernorrland's most strategically important IT infrastructure projects in the coming years?

We are now looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager who wants to take responsibility for the procurement, implementation, and transition of Region Västernorrland's future Operations & Network agreements, with a planned contract start in 2028.

This is a long-term and business-critical assignment where you will have the opportunity to influence the future digital infrastructure within the Swedish public sector.

About the Assignment

As Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading Region Västernorrland's work on the procurement and implementation of a new agreement for Operations and Network.

The assignment covers the entire lifecycle from preliminary studies and procurement to contract signing, transition, and establishing collaboration with the future supplier.

The work is conducted according to the PPS project model and involves close collaboration with the region's IT operations, purchasing function, and external suppliers.

The goal is to ensure cost-effective, scalable, and long-term sustainable infrastructure services that support the region's operations, digitalization strategy, and overall target architecture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the procurement of future Operations & Network agreements
  Plan, coordinate, and drive the procurement process from preliminary studies to contract signing.
• Responsible for project management according to PPS
  Ensure structure, governance, monitoring, and delivery through all project phases.
• Develop and quality-assure procurement documentation
  Develop RFI documentation, specifications, and other procurement documents in collaboration with Purchasing and Procurement.
• Coordinate internal and external resources
  Coordinate operations, IT, purchasing, and suppliers to ensure progress and quality.
• Plan and lead transition
  Responsible for the transition from the current supplier agreement to the future delivery model.
• Establish future collaboration models
  Build structures for governance, monitoring, and collaboration with the upcoming supplier.
• Contribute to the region's other IT projects
  Participate in strategic initiatives within Region Västernorrland's IT operations as needed.

We believe you have

• Several years of experience as a Technical Project Manager within large IT infrastructure projects.
• Experience in public procurement and supplier management.
• Knowledge of Operations, Networking, and IT infrastructure at the enterprise level.
• Experience with transition projects and outsourcing/sourcing initiatives.
• Experience with PPS or a similar project model.
• Ability to lead complex projects with many stakeholders.
• Good understanding of target architecture, governance, and digital transformation.
• Strong communication skills in Swedish.
• Experience from the public sector or larger organizations is an advantage.
