The Public Health Unit is looking for a Public Health Analyst who wants to work at the intersection of public health science, epidemiology, and statistics – and turn data into clear evidence that strengthens regional work based on the county's new public health strategy.

The unit is part of the Regional Development administration and has the task of creating conditions for good and equitable health throughout the county. We work on a knowledge-based approach and in close collaboration with municipalities, the County Administrative Board, internal operations, and other actors. One of the unit's core assignments is to describe and monitor the health development of the population. The demand for knowledge-based evidence and situation analyses is high – your expertise will be highly sought after.

With us, you will have a strategically important role in a knowledge-intensive assignment with significant societal benefit. You will become part of a unit with broad public health competence and work closely with colleagues and collaboration partners in the county. An important part of the assignment is to contribute with analyses and knowledge-based evidence that strengthens the public health mission, as well as the connection between public health and other areas such as regional societal planning. The role contributes to making public health data accessible and usable as a basis for analysis, follow-up, and knowledge-based decisions. The content of the position may be adapted over time based on the organization's goals and the unit's collective needs. Your onboarding will take place together with the unit manager and an assigned colleague. A work sample test may be applied before employment.

The position is a permanent full-time employment with start date as agreed. Location: Härnösand.

• Processing and reporting of data and statistical analysis.
• Developing and communicating knowledge-based evidence tailored to target groups.
• Responsibility for the unit's work with the implementation and analysis of population surveys and questionnaires.
• Follow-up, development, and collaboration in areas related to the unit's assignment.

• Have a university degree in a relevant field, such as public health science, statistics, epidemiology, or something else that the employer considers equivalent.
• Have knowledge and work experience in statistical analysis and data processing.
• Have knowledge and work experience in producing analyses, reports, visualizations, or other knowledge-based evidence.
• Have knowledge and experience working with digital work tools and statistical programs, such as SPSS, Python, or R.
• Have very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Hold a valid driver's license (Category B).

• Experience in leading and delivering projects/processes.
• Experience in strategic planning and development work.
• Experience working in a politically governed organization or in collaboration between several actors (municipality/region/state agencies).
• Work experience using AI as a tool in assignments.
• Good proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
