About the Operations
The County Hospital Area (LSO) Somatik covers the 11 county operations within RVN and operates at all three hospitals in the county. Currently, the area is organizationally merged with the Primary Healthcare Area South. We are now looking for an Operations Developer for LSO Somatik. As an Operations Developer, you will be part of the Area Director's staff and work closely with the Area Director, Deputy Area Director, the other two Operations Developers, and the Administrator. HR and financial support are also involved in close collaboration.
The position is a full-time temporary assignment with a start date of 2026-09-01 and an end date of 2029-08-31, located in Sundsvall or Örnsköldsvik. Some presence in Sundsvall is required regardless of location. Remote work is possible to some extent.
Responsibilities
Your overall responsibility as an Operations Developer is to support management and leaders in strategic and operational development work, from analysis and prioritization to implementation, follow-up, and evaluation. You ensure that a systems perspective is applied by considering the interdependencies between operations, professions, processes, and levels of care. You play a key role in supporting the development of the organization's improvement capability, not least by creating conditions for participation and co-creation between organizational levels and internal and external stakeholders.
To strengthen the combined capabilities of the management staff, we are now seeking Operations Developers who complement existing competencies with particular strength in one or more of the following areas:
- Data-driven analysis and decision support.
- Process and flow development.
- Collaboration in cross-professional and political contexts, as well as with trade union partners.
Your tasks will include, among other things:
Analysis and Decision Support
- Prepare and analyze materials for decisions and prioritizations.
- Identify improvement needs, risks, bottlenecks, and variations in processes.
- Conduct qualified analyses where multiple perspectives are weighed together.
Management and Process Support
- Support management and working groups in structuring, leading, and following up on development work.
- Plan and facilitate meetings and processes to achieve consensus and progress.
- Provide process support in complex, cross-cutting development issues.
Improvement and Implementation Support
- Apply and adapt methods for improvement work and change management.
- Support the implementation and practical application of decisions.
- Ensure follow-up, evaluation, and further development.
Collaboration and Anchoring
- Ensure anchoring through clear communication and dialogue.
- Promote working methods with a patient and citizen perspective.
Follow-up, Learning, and Sustainability
- Follow up, analyze results, and identify ongoing development needs.
- Contribute to documentation and organizational learning.
- Support structures for long-term sustainable improvements.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who
- Has a university degree within health and medical care.
- Has documented experience in leading or supporting development, improvement, or change work in complex operations.
- Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Has a valid driver's license (Category B).
It is an advantage if you
- Have education in improvement science, implementation, change management, patient safety, operations analysis, project management, or organizational development.
- Have experience in development work in a politically governed organization and/or large knowledge-intensive operations, preferably within health and medical care.
- Have experience in translating overarching goals or knowledge support into practical implementation.
