Personal assistance is a support measure under the LSS Act (Law on Support and Service for Certain Disability Groups). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Every client is unique, and your tasks will vary depending on the client's needs. You respect the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the role

The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for you who are sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done.

We are now looking for you who fit the following criteria:

• Wish to work for a 13-year-old girl living in Järna
• Wish to work in a family with children
• Are non-smoking
• Tolerate pets (the client has a cat)
• Have good physical fitness
• Enjoy being outdoors, walking, and cycling

The following qualifications are meritorious:

• Have experience in similar work
• Have experience with communication using pictures, picture schedules, and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System)
• Are active and social
• Have experience with epilepsy
• Have experience with PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, employment degree, and salary

The current form of employment is a hourly position on an as-needed basis, with good opportunities for fixed schedule times further on.

We are primarily looking for you who have the possibility to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends. The working hours in the group are scheduled as follows:

Afternoon/Evening: approx. 14:00/15:00 – 20:00/21:00

Weekend: 08:00 – 17:00

Awake night (active hours): approx. 22:00 – 08:00

Salary:

Fixed hourly wage according to agreement, and other compensations are made according to the collective agreement.

Start date:

Immediately.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting an employment with us at Humana is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID document and any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a certificate from the Swedish National Council for Crime Prevention (BRÅ) for all employees who are to work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years of age. Therefore, you need to present a certificate of no criminal record and suspicion register extract from the police before any potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
