The Education Department is responsible for preschool, primary school, leisure center, upper secondary school, adult education, as well as child and student health services. Here, approximately 1,100 employees work together to create a safe and developmental school and childcare.

About Backaskolan

Backaskolan is a grades F-6 school in central Ystad with approximately 350 students in the school and 220 students in the leisure center. We are a forward-looking school where management and staff work together to create the best school for our students. With us, we work to ensure that all students reach a little further than they themselves believe is possible. We have dedicated educators and staff who see the potential in every child.

Job Responsibilities

You will, together with your closest colleagues, be responsible for teaching in a fourth-grade class by basing your work on the school's steering documents and the students' needs and interests. Mentorship is included in the assignment. The assignment also includes evaluating and analyzing your own teaching, both individually and together with colleagues.

The position belongs to the working group for grades 4-6. Here, you are expected to be participatory and, through collaboration with colleagues, contribute to handling the working group's tasks and responsibilities.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained primary school teacher with the eligibility to teach in grades 4-6 in the subjects of mathematics, natural sciences, and technology, and have experience in conducting teaching.

You are expected to have good knowledge of the school's steering documents and work based on them in a natural way. You take responsibility for your own learning because you know that it is one of the keys to success in making a real difference. Therefore, it is natural for you to follow up and reflect on your own teaching. You have a solution-focused and enthusiastic approach with good ability to work in teams as well as independently. We value engagement and innovation as well as interest in development issues.

You express yourself well in the Swedish language, both orally and in writing.
