About the Department
The Construction Projects Unit, together with the Land Projects Unit, forms the Projects Division. The Projects Division is organizationally placed within the Property Management department. The Projects Division consists of a total of 16 employees when fully staffed. This includes a Division Manager, Head of Construction Projects, 6 Construction Project Managers, Head of Land Projects, and 7 Project Managers within land and environment.

Job Responsibilities
In the role of Construction Project Manager, you are responsible for driving approved renovation, extension, and new construction projects to meet the space requirements of the municipality's own operations. This is an exciting assignment where you influence how facilities are designed with the operations' needs in focus. As a Project Manager, you also work with investigations, permit handling, economics, schedules, document management, reporting, development, etc.
The Project Manager drives projects through all phases of the construction process, such as feasibility studies, design, procurement, contracting, until the project is handed over to the property department. You are responsible for contact with the commissioning administration, politics, authorities, consultants, contractors, operations, safety representatives, and others. As a Project Manager, you lead and participate in projects with a clear goal focus on quality, cost, and schedule, with knowledge of what works in practice and a strong interest in design issues.
During the design phase, you work with the support of external consultants within each discipline to compile the project's final content, design, and frameworks for the tender documents. You are the qualified advisor to the operations in the projects, as well as preparing decision materials and presenting them to political committees. All procurement is conducted according to the Public Procurement Act (LOU).
You have significant individual responsibility for projects and investigations, while we within the group utilize each other's strengths and knowledge to develop our operations and working methods together. The work as a Project Manager requires you to be service-oriented and sensitive to the various stakeholders of the projects. You thrive in the role of the 'spider in the web' and find it easy to plan, drive, and follow up on processes.
Personal suitability is given great weight.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Education: You are a University Engineer specializing in construction, Civil Engineer, or have other education deemed suitable and relevant by the employer for the assignment.
- Driver's License: You hold a Category B driver's license for manual transmission.
Merits:
- You have experience from working in public operations and politically governed organizations.
- You have experience from project management of construction projects (both large and small) from the Client, Construction Contractor, or Consultancy side.
- You have experience with permit and license applications to authorities for constructions and remediations.
- You have good knowledge and experience in some or all of Contract Law, the Planning and Building Act, AB04/ABT06, AMA AF and House, Construction Safety Coordinator BAS-P.
- You have experience working with project economics such as invoice review, economic follow-ups, and forecasts.
- You have experience working with procurements according to the Public Procurement Act.
