Municipal Executive Office, Property Operations Unit

Description

You will be part of the property unit within the technical department, consisting of about twenty employees. Olofström Municipality has a property portfolio of approximately 85,000 square meters. The portfolio consists largely of schools and preschools, as well as cultural and leisure facilities.

Property Project Manager – Olofström Municipality

Do you want to work with societal development and drive construction and property projects that make a real difference? We are now looking for a project manager for our property department!

About the Position

As a project manager here, you play a central role in driving property projects from idea to completed building. You are responsible for the entire process – from preliminary studies and design to implementation and follow-up. The projects include both new construction and renovation (ROT projects).

You actively work to ensure cost-effective solutions and long-term sustainable use of the municipality's resources.

In addition to project management, you contribute to strategic property issues and support the organization in long-term planning.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive construction and property projects in all stages
  • Ensure project delivery regarding time, cost, and quality
  • Actively work with cost control and cost-effective solutions
  • Responsible for project budgets, forecasts, and financial follow-up
  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare calculations and decision support materials
  • Follow up and report on projects
  • Write and present cases to the board
  • Participate in the investment process

You will also work with:

  • Maintenance planning with a focus on long-term cost efficiency together with colleagues
  • Rental agreements (leasing and subletting)
  • Management of property-related information

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Relevant university education in construction, property, or urban planning – or equivalent experience
  • Several years of experience in project management within the construction or property sector
  • Experience driving projects in both new production and renovation/ROT
  • Good knowledge of contract law, AB 04, and AB 06
  • BAS-P certification
  • Good understanding of economics, calculations, and budget follow-up
  • Ability to work in a structured and cost-conscious manner
  • Valid driver's license (Category B)
  • Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience from public sector operations
  • Knowledge of LOU (Public Procurement Act)
  • Experience working with politically governed organizations
