Description

The Business Protection Unit is a newly formed unit that brings together competencies working with security, operations, and continuity. As part of the work, the unit is responsible for the authority's command capability, focusing on the development, operation, and maintenance of command posts and command post-related technology. The unit is also responsible for future assignments regarding inspections of bomb shelters.

Responsibilities

In this role, you play a central part in developing the authority's capability related to protected command posts and premises with enhanced command capability, in accordance with the authority's command strategy. As a specialist in the field of fortification protection, you may also take on an important role in the County Administrative Boards' assignments regarding inspections of bomb shelters.

The responsibilities include, among other things, preparing materials and project management for the modernization of command posts, creating special spaces, and receiving and managing mobile command posts. You will also work on projects to further develop the technical and operational prerequisites required for continued robust command capability. This may also include projects for the protection of premises and relocation of operations.

You participate in or lead projects for the development of commissioning instructions, routines, and plans for relevant areas. Your task is to actively promote the establishment of systematic work within the area of responsibility. In this assignment, you also conduct training initiatives to raise the authority's competence in fortification protection.

In the role, you are the overall contact person for the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (MCF) in matters concerning the development, functionality, and management of command posts. You are responsible for the annual planning of functional checks and commissioning, and ensure that the authority's wartime organization is exercised in the commissioning of command posts in close cooperation with the authority's exercise and training coordinator.

You may also take on a role in the County Administrative Boards' takeover of inspections of bomb shelters according to the regulatory letter assignment 3D3. Tasks may include expert advice and review of protocols from bomb shelter inspections. The assignment is in a planning phase and may develop or change.

You may also take on an advisory role towards the county's actors.

There will be great opportunities to develop and shape the role according to areas of competence and the authority's needs.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a civil engineer with relevant specialization.

Furthermore, you have:

• education focused on fortification protection
• experience working with fortification protection
• education in and experience of project management, preferably within construction with a fortification focus
• experience working with security-classified tasks
• Swedish citizenship

Merits if you have:

• worked in a state authority, preferably a preparedness authority
• experience working with eavesdropping-protected spaces
• worked with total defense issues previously
• good knowledge of the Swedish total defense at local, regional, and national levels

You are used to working independently with high demands for accuracy and quality. Your ability to collaborate and communicate clearly, both internally and externally, is crucial as you will be a key person in contact with other internal and external actors. You are pedagogical and have an easy time conveying knowledge, which makes you well suited for training initiatives and advisory roles. You express yourself fluently both orally and in writing in Swedish. As a person, you are proactive, flexible, and have a strong desire to develop both yourself and the operations. You thrive in a role where you get to take great responsibility while contributing to building up systematic and long-term work in the field.
