We are looking for you who want to work as an engineer for radio and communication systems, combining laboratory work with field operations.

About the role

We are currently looking for several engineers for radio and communication systems who want to be part of building up a new business area focused on tactical communication and system integration.

In this role, you work closely with the end user to ensure that radio and communication systems function in real-world environments – where availability, robustness, and secure information transfer are crucial. You will become part of a team of approximately 15 people who together are responsible for implementing, verifying, and commissioning solutions that connect different systems and platforms.

You will work both in a laboratory environment and in the field at the customer's site, where the systems are used in exercises and operational activities.

Examples of tasks:

• Installation, configuration, and commissioning of radio and communication systems
• Integration of radio systems with networks and command and control systems
• Troubleshooting in complex communication environments (radio, network, transmission)
• Testing and verification of communication solutions in lab and field environments
• Building reference environments for system validation
• Configuration and adaptation of systems in Windows and Linux environments
• Automation of configurations via scripts (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Technical support to the customer during exercises and operational operations
• Documentation and feedback to the development organization

Your profile

Requirements for the position:

• A few years of work experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Networking (prior knowledge in system architecture, routing, transmission, data centers, building data networks)
• Programming, worked with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Bat, PowerShell), applied configurations that work in Windows/Linux environments
• Radio and communication systems
• Post-secondary technical degree (university, college, vocational, military) in Computer Science/Networking/Technical Physics or equivalent
• Swedish and English in speech and writing
• Opportunity to travel for work occasionally
• Class B driver's license

The assignment is classified. Pre-employment requires you to undergo a security clearance check and be approved according to current security regulations. This may entail requirements for specific citizenship.

Meritorious for the position:

• Technical background from the Swedish Armed Forces (Leading role/Ground Warfare School/Technician)
• Knowledge of command and control systems towards the defense industry
