Drive international projects and save lives! Mips is growing and is now looking for Project Managers. Do you want a key role where you combine technology, customer contact, and project management? At Mips, you become part of a fantastic team where people support each other and where your work contributes to safer helmets around the world.
About the role
Mips sells its products to helmet manufacturers who implement Mips technology in helmets that are then marketed and sold to end users. Mips works with several of the world's largest helmet manufacturers in the sports helmet category, but also sells its solutions to brands active in the motorcycle and safety helmet categories. They have recently strengthened their position as the market leader in helmet safety through the acquisition of Koroyd, a leading brand in its niche with 40 employees and operations in Monaco.
Mips currently has its headquarters in Täby, but will move in December 2026 to new, fresh, and larger premises centrally located in Solna, where their testing facility will also be located. A large part of global helmet production takes place in China, which is why Mips has a wholly-owned subsidiary that works close to customers' factories. In total, Mips has over 100 employees globally working in sales, research and development, production, and administration, of which approximately 85 are at the headquarters in Stockholm.
Mips is constantly growing and is now looking for driven Project Managers!
What we offer:
- An innovative company operating on an international playing field
- Join a young company with great development opportunities within the company
- An engaging job with a broad area of responsibility
- Favorable wellness allowance of 5,000 SEK
- A free Mips helmet per year
Responsibilities
In the role of Project Manager, you act as the hub in the network. You are responsible for the contact with Mips customers and lead them through the development phase to ensure that Mips technology is implemented correctly in their new products. You work closely with Mips engineers who perform the technical work, but you own the schedule and communication.
This is a role with high tempo and great variety. You do not drive a single large project, but over time up to 35-40 smaller projects in parallel in different phases. Your main responsibilities include:
- Project planning and follow-up: own the planning for each customer project, ensure deadlines are met and that the project is delivered on time (Time-to-market)
- Resource planning: coordinate internal resources (primarily engineers) to match customer needs
- Customer contact: act as a technical expert and advisor to the customer's design and engineering team
- Cost control: responsible for the project budget and quoting tooling costs
- Proactive problem solving: identify risks early and work actively to avoid problems along the way
We are looking for you who
- Have a university degree (technical focus or preferably economics/business)
- Have an understanding of project management and structure, likely you have a few years of experience as a project manager, engineer, or project coordinator
- Are comfortable working in an international environment, and therefore fluent in English in both speech and writing
It is an advantage if you have
- Good knowledge of Swedish, in both speech and writing as the language is used in daily work
- Experience from the sports industry, construction sector, or consumer products
- A personal interest in helmet sports (cycling, skiing, equestrian, etc.) or motorcycles
To succeed in the role, you have the following personal qualities:
At Mips, personality is key. To thrive in the team, you should be a team player who puts the group before the individual. Since you handle large amounts of projects simultaneously, you need to be structured, flexible, and have the ability to prioritize and juggle many balls in the air. You are a person who dares to make decisions, even when you don't have all the answers. You are solution-oriented, social, and comfortable with building relationships both internally and externally.
