As our IT division at Svenska kraftnät grows, so does the unit's mandate. The Data and Reporting Platform is becoming, and will continue to be, an increasingly important part of Svenska kraftnät's data initiatives. We are looking for two Solution Architects for Data Warehousing who want to be part of Svenska kraftnät's data-driven journey by transforming data into valuable insights and creating data architecture solutions that truly make a difference for the entire organization.

About the role

Here you will become part of the Data Analysis and Data Platform unit, which is responsible for providing platforms for storing, analyzing, and sharing data to enable secure and efficient use of data and information across the entire agency. The unit handles inquiries and orders regarding structured data, such as data extracts and published reports.

The unit consists of an engaged team of 20 employees with competencies in data analysis, backend and frontend development, as well as IT specialists who handle architecture, application operations, and support for our platforms. We work according to agile principles cross-functionally together with portfolio managers and product owners, focusing on both maintenance and further development.

As a Solution Architect, you will develop and implement solutions for how data should enter from delivering systems, be processed, refined, and sent on to various consumers. You will also work on creating solution descriptions, managing the architecture, and contributing to the development of data flows and reports in our data platforms, such as Soda Batch, which is Svenska kraftnät's data lake and decision support solution.

You work in a DevOps manner and are responsible for the delivery from start to finish – from sketch and conceptualization to design and implementation. You are not afraid to dive into deep technical details when required, always with a focus on solutions that are smart and manageable.

An important part of the role moving forward is to work on further developing the existing data lake to structure, simplify, and streamline the work of retrieving and using data.

The role will also include:

• Creating technical design documents and solution descriptions as a basis for development, focusing on scalability, long-term viability, and manageability
• Creating, driving, and monitoring the implementation of solutions
• Maintaining and further developing the architecture in the data platform and data lake
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive architecture development forward

In this role, you will become a key person in driving Svenska kraftnät's data-driven development and strengthening the organization's ability to use data as a basis for decisions and insights. Furthermore, you have a relevant higher education or university degree in Engineering, Systems Science, or Computer Science, or equivalent education and work experience that Svenska kraftnät assesses as equivalent. You also have:

• At least 8 years of work experience in development, design, and architecture within data warehousing/data warehouse/Data lake
• At least 5 years of work experience in solution architecture within data warehousing/data warehouse/Data lake
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

We consider it meritorious if you have:

• Experience working with big data solutions based on clusters, e.g., Hadoop/Cloudera
• Experience working with Linux, Spark, and Python
• Experience collaborating with infrastructure competencies
• Good knowledge of IT security
• Experience with agile working methods and tools
