The Swedish Defence University is an internationally renowned higher education institution within defence, crisis management, and security. The Swedish Defence University educates Sweden's officers and leads the academic development of the officer profession. We conduct research in law with a focus on operational law and international law, defence systems, military science, leadership and command, military history, and political science.

The operations are continuously developing, and the need for digitalization and new IT services is increasing, which places high demands on well-balanced IT solutions in interaction with security requirements, operational needs, and the pedagogical focus.

The IT department's mandate is broad and covers everything from providing and further developing the institution's digital platforms to the implementation of AI, as well as operationally relevant IT support with a focus on IT and information security. Microsoft 365 forms a central platform in this development.

Responsibilities

In this role, you have overall technical responsibility for the Microsoft 365 platform. You work with solution architecture, technical decision-making, and platform development in line with operational needs and the organization's requirements for structure, security, and efficiency.

You are responsible for designing, further developing, and structuring solutions within Microsoft 365 with a focus on collaboration, information management, and automation. The work also includes driving development regarding how AI support can be used in the platform, for example through Microsoft Copilot.

You are part of the administration organization and work in close collaboration with the business administration manager. A central part of the role is to lead the technical development and to coordinate and lead the team of administrators and specialists working on the platform's development and administration.

The role also includes coordination within SeqOps regarding platform-related initiatives and continuous development.

Who we are looking for

You have at least five years of experience with Microsoft 365 in larger organizations and experience with solution architecture. You have good competence in SharePoint and Teams as well as experience in development within Microsoft 365, for example, Power Platform and automation.

You have experience with governance, information management, and working in an administration model (e.g., PM3). You have worked with Microsoft Copilot or equivalent AI support and have experience in leading and coordinating work.

You have good pedagogical skills and can communicate technical solutions. You master Swedish in speech and writing and can understand technical documentation in English.

About the employment

This is a permanent full-time position that may begin with a six-month probationary period.

Employment at the Swedish Defence University may involve a security clearance check for placement in a security class, which means register control and, in some cases, a security interview with the Swedish Security Service.

The employment may involve war-time placement. If you are already war-time placed in your current employment at an authority and your competence is needed in the Swedish Defence University's war organization, a negotiation will take place between the relevant authority and the Swedish Defence University regarding where you should be placed.
