We are now looking for systems specialists with a focus on mobile core networks to strengthen and build up our Core team and ensure the operation of Sweden's critical communication services. With us, you will have a unique opportunity to work with critical infrastructure, contribute to the country's security, and be a key player in the technical development of our communication networks. You will be part of an exciting journey working on the next generation of secure communication systems, SWEN (The Swedish Emergency Network).
You will be part of a team working with the operation, management, and development of mobile platforms.
Your responsibilities and tasks
As a systems specialist at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency, you will primarily work with the daily operation of the mobile core network, which supports both 4G and 5G SA. You will collaborate with other parts of the agency as well as external actors regarding critical communication solutions.
Your tasks include:
- Second-line technical support for Ericsson 5GDMC.
- Troubleshooting, fault resolution, and operational monitoring.
- Configuration of new mobile services.
- Life cycle management in collaboration with suppliers.
- Supplier contacts, development, and adaptation of support systems.
- Support and implementation of new support systems, technical adaptations.
Your knowledge and competencies
We are looking for someone who has:
- A university degree or education combined with work experience that we assess provides equivalent competence.
- At least three years of experience working with mobile communications.
- Experience from operating mobile networks.
- Good knowledge of Linux.
- Knowledge of scripting.
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in both Swedish and English.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Ericsson CNIS.

About the employment
We offer you a permanent full-time position starting with a probationary period.
Your place of work will be in Stockholm, and travel during employment will occur.
The majority of our positions involve placement in a security class. Swedish citizenship is usually required. In the event of placement in a security class, a security investigation with register check will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Most employees at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency are war-placed.
About us
On the Site and Logistics section, we are 12 employees located in both Karlstad and Stockholm. The section's areas of responsibility include, in addition to site and logistics, transmission solutions, Tetra Core and RAN including radio planning, as well as field service.
