We are looking for an engaged and service-oriented project manager who wants to contribute to our exercises at the Cyber Defence Command (CFL).

About the role

On the exercises section, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of specific exercises.

We are looking for someone who thrives at the intersection of project management and exercises, and who is motivated by creating structure, clarity, and value for others.

As a project manager, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of exercise projects. The work involves close collaboration with colleagues. You will have great opportunities for own initiatives at a strategic level, as well as cooperation within Sweden and internationally, within NATO and the EU.

Main responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:

  • Planning, implementation, and evaluation of specific exercises.
  • National and international cooperation related to the development of the Swedish Armed Forces and the Cyber Defence Command within the framework of the mission.

We are looking for you who meet the following requirements:

  • Several years of documented work experience in project management and collaboration with multiple stakeholders, nationally and/or internationally.
  • Relevant academic degree or experience that the employer considers equivalent.
  • Very good computer skills, including the Office package.
  • Very good knowledge of both spoken and written Swedish and English.

The following is considered meritorious:

  • Documented education in project management, nationally and/or internationally.
  • Documented education focused on national and/or international defense and total defense operations.
  • Experience working in other government agencies and/or Swedish government governance and cooperation.
  • Experience managing multi-year and/or complex projects within the Swedish Armed Forces, and/or knowledge of NATO and/or EU organizations, processes, and working methods.
  • Exercise planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Project management related to cybersecurity and/or cyber defense.

Other requirements:

The reason we ask you to be restrained with information is that some positions at the unit are subject to secrecy. Swedish citizenship is required for employment with the Swedish Armed Forces. Employment entails national and international work obligations. The selection process will be supplemented with work psychological tests.

The Swedish Armed Forces is a government agency. The Head of Agency is the Supreme Commander (ÖB) and the Director General (GD) is the deputy. At the High Command (HKV), approximately 1,000 employees work – both professional officers and civilian experts.
