Administration Manager / Project Manager

At the National Board of Forensic Medicine (RMV), you have the opportunity to practice your profession while contributing to a legally secure society together with your colleagues. We are now looking for an Administration Manager for the IT and Digitalization Unit, with placement either at the central headquarters in Stockholm or in Linköping.

The IT and Digitalization Unit is part of the agency's headquarters and is responsible for the operation, administration, and development of digital solutions. The agency has specially developed IT solutions, its own IT infrastructure, and plays a vital role for the agency's operations and employees at RMV. Currently, RMV is undertaking an initiative to modernize its IT environment and build a functional and well-adapted IT organization. The mandate of the IT and Digitalization Unit is continuously evolving, with several large and complex projects in the coming years, including an inter-agency case management system. To sustainably deliver on these commitments and meet the operational needs, the unit needs to permanently grow and be strengthened with additional resources and competence.

Your Assignment

• Take responsibility for the administration and continuous improvement of IT solutions within your areas of responsibility. You ensure that our IT solutions are available for operations as needed. You collaborate with operational representatives and are responsible for planning and executing activities efficiently. This includes leading and directing both internal and external resources.
• Lead technical projects, such as the further development of existing IT solutions within your areas of responsibility and, if necessary, the implementation of new IT solutions.
• Assist in the procurement of IT solutions, with a particular focus on technical specifications and the evaluation of suppliers' proposals.

Qualifications

You have:

• A university degree (e.g., in computer science, software development, or systems science) or equivalent experience assessed by the employer as comparable.
• Current documented experience in technical administration management or equivalent experience assessed by the employer as comparable.
• Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Merits

It is an advantage if you have:

• Knowledge and experience from some of the following IT areas, such as system development, testing, architecture, integration, or IT infrastructure.
• Leadership experience and/or experience in change management.
• Familiarity with ITIL, PM3, or similar governance models.
• Knowledge and experience of public procurement.

We are looking for you who combine technical competence with good leadership skills. You have a high degree of cooperation and can communicate in a listening and constructive manner, as well as having the ability to create and maintain good working relationships. To succeed in the role, you need to be self-reliant and take responsibility for driving your tasks forward, as well as being curious and having a desire to develop your knowledge regarding both our core operations and our IT solutions. Furthermore, you are structured and plan and prioritize your work efficiently.

The Employment

The employment is a permanent full-time position starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date is by agreement. Placement is preferably at the headquarters in Stockholm or in Linköping. The agency's units are located in different parts of Sweden, so travel in the course of duty may occur. Based on operational needs, there is an opportunity to conclude an individual agreement regarding remote work for part of the working time. The National Board of Forensic Medicine applies individual salary setting.

We conduct background checks for some of our employments by checking extracts from criminal records. In connection with employment at RMV, there may be an obligation to be placed on the war establishment. The position may be classified in a security class, and a security check with register control may therefore be conducted during employment. This means that you would then need to be a Swedish citizen.

We apply a competency-based recruitment process where work psychological tests, knowledge tests, or work samples may occur. Prior to the employment of licensed health care personnel, checks are performed with the National Board of Health and Welfare and the Inspectorate for Health and Care.
